Facility reopens after severe weather damage

February 24, 2009

Earlier this month, Watson & Taylor Self Storage - Galveston, located at 828 60th Street, formally re-opened for business after severe hurricane and flood damage shut most of the facility down for nearly 6 months. Watson & Taylor took the opportunity to rebuild the facility using state-of-the-art construction and technology. They now offer climate controll storage units which not only control the tempearature but also the relative humidity plus a new array of technology and security systems. Due to the exceptional staff already in place at the self storage facility, the resident property manager remains in place and she is excited with 'best-on-the-island' storage service."We are extremely grateful to the City of Galveston and the great people who love the island. We were devastated with the damage across the city but we are so happy to rebound bigger and better than ever," said Tom Maxfield, Regional Operations Manager for Watson & Taylor Self Storage. The storage facility is offering promotions over the next few months to celebrate their re-opening. Businesses or residents needing storagre are encouraged to tour the new facility to see improvements.
